Wade With Me

Wade with me into the marsh mosaic;

The inviting pans of saline marrow

Wrench apart the bulwark shrubs

Calmed only by the gentle stroke of green cilia

Hiding many a sharp beak;

Where downy plumes project a sickle moon

The whistles and chills of a mournful tune…

Sparrows of the Mound

A new cold morn

Pivots around a tidy cottage,

Built upon primrose, dog mercury and bluebells.

The meady glow from the window

Graces the mound from which it observes.

  • Little Mocchi-Mocchi

    Little Mocchi-Mocchi is a cuddly thing

    With plump button cheeks and a cutesy tuft of fur.

    It flops and waves its grabby little mitts

    As it dances and sings,

    Joyful and hungry for adventure

    Like the little darling princess that wills it to life…

    Besides the carcinogens and flammables-

    Stains and all-

    With hefty indifference…

  • Between Thoughts

    From the whistling hills of a thousand empty thoughts

    folding and creasing into itself.

    The skies flow with rivers that cannot sit still,

    Bedrocks open to a cloudless silver mist

    blanketing the meadow blossom…

  • Draining

    The clock’s face stares in pale, paternal bemusement,

    His arms judge, phasing

    Through frustration;

    Through confusion;

    To resignation…

  • Where I Won't Be Found

    I bury my head in a patchwork frame

    Of metal and silk earth,

    Knitted tightly, sewn with hyphae…
